There's no question it's as important to demonstrate you have robust systems in place as it is to show a good operational record. Safety and compliance is the backbone of our business and one that we have built a growing customer base and enviable reputation upon. It's a reputation we fiercely want, and will look to protect with tools like Air Maestro.

Brindabella Airlines is a QANTAS Frequent Flyer partner and has operational bases in Brisbane, Canberra and Port Macquarie providing scheduled passenger services servicing Albury, Brisbane, Canberra, Coffs Harbour, Newcastle, Port Macquarie and Tamworth. Brindabella employs approximately 90 staff including 40 Aircrew, 15 Engineers, 15 Flying Instructors and 20 Operations and Admin staff.
During 2009, after an exhaustive selection process, Air Maestro was selected and subsequently introduced as the software component of Brindabella’s CASA CAO82.3 approved Safety Management System.
Key factors in that outcome were:
- Air Maestro underpins each and every component of a Safety Management System meeting the requirements of CASA CAO82.1, 82.3 and 82.5
- Additional single login functionality including crew rostering, crew recurrency and FAID are invaluable for a business such as ours that are looking for cost effectiveness and simplicity.
- The Air Maestro interface is very intuitive and the reporting capabilities ensure all required information is accurate and readily available at the touch of a button. From initial training and rollout all our people were very keen to use the product.
The Air Maestro experience since introduction has been nothing short of excellent and has met all of our expectations. In particular the support and enhancements provided by the Support Staff are always first class and implemented incredibly quickly. Brindabella have already enjoyed and look forward to continuing to assist Avinet in further enhancing AirMaestro to make it a complete ‘one stop’ operational software solution.
As an organisation, Brindabella Airlines thoroughly recommends both the Air Maestro product, and the Avinet team. Keep up the great work.

Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS), which was established in 1975, operates as part of the New South Wales Emergency Services. Each year the WRHS performs over 1,250 missions, rescuing people from accident scenes and transporting critically ill patients from small, rural hospitals to large, tertiary hospitals, primarily the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle and the Base Hospital in Tamworth.
In 2008 WRHS implemented Air Maestro®, a dedicated air crew compliance and safety management system, to enhance its emergency services operations. Deployed across two operational sites in NSW, Air Maestro® manages the service’s safety management tracking and reporting, company documentation, as well as the critical monitoring of pilot and crew recency requirements.
"Having a dedicated system has vastly improved our operational efficiency. Because it’s a web-based application, I can access the system from just about anywhere, which means it’s so much easier to retrieve and update operational information.
The Air Maestro® web interface is very intuitive, all our operational staff benefit from having secure access to the system, which has greatly improved our overall tracking and made critical operational alerts more readily available by both individuals and the management team
Overall, Air Maestro® has improved the visibility and distribution of operational information across all WRHS locations. If you add to that the extensive array of reporting options, it’s been an ideal addition to our services’ continued success." Robert Jenkins (Safety Manager) at WRHS

"Royal Flying Doctor Service (South Eastern Section) operates from many bases throughout its network with some 56 Pilots and other associated personnel that require tracking and maintenance of various recency and proficiency items, especially those required under CAR 217. The inbuilt flexibility of Air Maestro makes it very adaptable to various types of operations, especially ours. Since we have been using Avinet's Air Maestro it has become evident that the administrative capabilities combined with CAR 217 tracking, flight & duty records, rostering and the many other features that make Air Maestro an invaluable monitoring and maintenance tool."

| "Through the Air Maestro program the RFDS (South Eastern Section) is able to identify hazards and provide prudent information which enables RFDS safety to analyze all incoming data through its simple filtering and graphing capabilities. Air Maestro's effortless ability to access information, gives the user the capacity to organise the removal of hazards and strengthen any defenses which are needed to control risk to acceptable levels. In safety management, communication is a vital key segment and with Air Maestro that is easily achieved."
