Release 2.3 Information

The following is an overview of the new development items in the 2.3 release of the Air Maestro® software.

Document Library Access Control
  • Folders within the Document Library can now be locked down to specific groups to hide documents, allow read only or full access to edit, review and delete documents. The groups are dynamic and tied into the Access Level Templates. There is a new Access Level for Document Library Administration which will allow the user to control and change the folder permissions for the entire library.
Audit Module Changes
  • The Audit Module has been updated with a number of small requests made by customers. The flow of an audit has been opened up so that the Auditor can choose when to progress the audit to the next stage. Actions are now stored in a draft mode until the Auditor ‘Requests Comments’, which then sends one email to each requestee informing them of all actions they need to respond to. Findings and actions can now be created without a checklist item enabling the Audit Module to be used for to record external audit findings with greater ease. Documentation has now been completed for this module so please contact Avinet if you wish to obtain an update to the printed manual.
Flight Records / Timesheet Integration
  • To extend the Flight Records Module the data entry needed to occur in a single location to limit the amount of double handling required. To this end the custom fields’ setup in the Flight Records Module can now flow through to the timesheets enabling personnel greater control over the information captured on their flights. This can include specifying which personnel were involved and what roles they performed, as well as flight metrics such as fuel usage, engine times, passengers and legs. This information flows between both modules enabling a personnel view through the timesheets or a flight view through the Flight Records.
Rostering Templates
  • Rosters are often created from a series of sequential duties or a template that is copied from personnel to personnel. Previously Air Maestro® enabled rosterers to copy and repeat sections but it didn’t capture the original template or templates used. Air Maestro® will now allow rosterers to build up a series of templates so that they can roster the template blocks rather than individual duties.
Schedule
  • To enable Air Maestro® to roster or schedule personnel down to the level of what tasks they are to perform within a day we’ve started building a Scheduling Module. In version 2.3 the Scheduling Module will be in a BETA form, enabling customers to trial the functionality without it integrating into the rest of Air Maestro®. The Scheduling Module will allow rosterers to create tasks such as a routine flight, charter or maintenance and assign various personnel and aircraft to the task. As always, Avinet will be looking for feedback on how we can improve this module to address all of our customers’ requirements as we continue to develop it in the next release.
